OUR TECHNOLOGIES

BARE, or Blackout Advanced Roblox Engine, is a custom engine and framework developed by Blackout Innovations to serve as the foundation for all of our games. Built specifically for the Roblox platform, BARE drastically enhances visual quality while maintaining steady and optimized performance across a wide range of devices.

The engine includes a wide array of advanced features such as a custom movement system, smooth and dynamic animation handling, realistic physics, and support for volumetric lighting. These systems work together to create immersive, high-fidelity experiences while giving developers the flexibility to scale complexity as needed.

Currently used in SCP: Blackout and other unannounced projects, BARE represents our commitment to pushing the technical limits of Roblox development. A commercial version of the engine is planned for release in the future.

Sound3DX is Blackout Innovations’ proprietary 3D audio system built specifically for Roblox. Designed to mimic the immersive sound design found in AAA titles like Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege and Battlefield 1, Sound3DX brings a new level of realism to in-game audio.

This system simulates real-world audio behavior, including directional sound, distance-based volume attenuation, occlusion through walls and objects, and environmental effects such as reverb and echo. Whether it’s footsteps behind a wall or gunfire echoing through a hallway, Sound3DX allows players to hear their environment with spatial accuracy.

Currently used in SCP: Blackout and other internal projects, Sound3DX significantly enhances immersion and situational awareness, making sound a core gameplay element rather than just background noise. A standalone version of the system is planned for commercial release in the future.
